Filament 38

OH HELL YEAH!!!!! It has arrived, my personal copy of FILAMENT 38's sophomore release, "UNSTABLE". We need to go back to the reason this project was started to gain what I feel is the entire meaning of why "UNSTABLE" is the darken, life clot of a guy I call my friend ASH. Excerpt from an interview:
TranZ: "I read that it was formed out of a need for an outlet. What was the need for an outlet?"
Ash: "Some people express or get rid of stress in different ways and that was the only way I could do it and really get out what I had to say. That is how I channel my anger and my everything goes into this."
With that, enter "Fractured" the debut release from Filament 38. Keeping to his thought, mind, and life's views, "Fractured" hit you right square in your central nervous system. A columniation of EBM, Industrial and emotion not afraid to be put into words proved "Fractured" a stand-alone release.
Enter "Unstable" Filament's sophomore release, maintaining their roots of a cross mix of EBM and Industrial. Ash, Mr. Sick and the Creep have journeyed into the darker corners of Ash's mind. Layered with aggression, brutality and discontent "Unstable" shows maturity, growth and has raised the bar for this young project. Some very obvious changes have taken place; synth lines have been added making the darkness more of a grey on a couple of tracks but the foreground feel is very "Unstable". In addition the mechanical sounds and throws of sorrow we tend to dismiss thru everyday life are accentuated in a realism aimed to see how desensitized we really are, or are we? Is the darkness and pain of one mans mind the reality of society we as a whole choose to ignore, or is it just a CD? You listen, you judge. Look inside yourself, deep inside your own mind. Does Filament 38 speak the realities you choose not to believe?
Ash, Mr. Sick and the Creep have journeyed into the next matter that lies beyond the normal and seen gray matter and exposed a true inner emotion and meaning that is FILAMENT 38!!!!!!!
I have personally been waiting for this cd since I learned of Filament 38, it may sound cliche, "All great things are worth waiting for". By far my favorite release of the year.
